Tatuaje once again displayed new cigars in the same booth as they’ve used for a few years now. They had a handful of new blends to offer. We got to talk to Pete Johnson about what’s new.
The first thing to catch our eye was the newest Monster addition. As many know, Tatuaje has put out a new Monster offering each Halloween, and this year, we will see the final full size Monster release.
The 2019 Monster will be a pair. As many could have guessed, the unannounced release will feature both the Chuck and the Tiff. They will both be the same size, a 5 7/8 x 52 parejo retailing for $13.
Dress boxes of each blend connect at the sides and will be limited to 666 of each blend distributed to 26 different “Unlucky” retailers. There will also be additional 10 count non-dress boxes for sale.
Both cigars contain all Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos with the Chuck featuring an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper while the Tiff sports Ecuadorian Connecticut outerwear.
ME or Mexican Experiment was a previously released limited blend made in very small quantities. It now makes a return with 1,000 bundles of each size (Robusto, Toro Churchill, Belicoso) alongside a regular production version with the new ME II in boxes of all the same sizes. Both blends feature Mexican San Andres wrappers concealing all Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Pete also showed us his new small format for El Triunfador modeled after old school Quintero Cuban cigars. We got to try one, and it rocked!
