1502 Cigars XO Review by LeeMack912
It’s a beautiful day in my neighborhood. That fact is made even more so by the fact that I have the chance to smoke the 1502 XO by Global Premium Cigars.[metaslider id=6590]
The 1502 XO is an annual limited edition production. Each year one size will be produced in 1502 numbered box. In addition, each cigar carries it’s own serial number. Today I will be smoking serial number 00327XX _____Released in 2016, the first size will be a Toro. Not much is known about the tobacco that makes up this cigar except that the binder and filler have been aged for 18 years.
The cigar is draped in a dark brown wrapper that has been box pressed with a semi-closed foot. The triple cap on this sample is a little sloppy.Upon smelling the foot, I am delighted with aroma of black cherry and tobacco. The cold draw is perfect. There is not much flavor on the cold draw but I am left with hits of red pepper on my tongue.
Upon first light I am met with a full flavor, full strength cigar. This cigar is not for the lightweight smokers. Red hot pepper coats my mouth and heats up my head. There is a solid tobacco and great smoke output. There are a series of other flavors that are so well blended that I cannot pick out the individual flavor notes. If I had to compare this to another cigar, I would say that it reminds me of a cross between a Padron and a Tatuaje.
For those who like a very well blended cigar with some oomph and a bit of pepper, this is a good one for you to sample. With only 1502 boxes of this cigar made, my suggestion to you……don’t wait until they are gone to decide you want some. Pick up yours today
Price: MSRP $17.75 (paid $16.49) – 3.5/5
